What general labourers cover across London

General labour spans far more than construction. Extraman supplies labourers for site assistance, retail stock moves, furniture handling, clearances, waste removal and event support.

We match the labourer to the task. A retail refit gets hands used to careful stock handling, and a clearance gets labourers comfortable with heavy, physical work at pace.

What work do general labourers do?

General labourers handle physical, non-specialist work across many settings: assisting trades on site, moving retail stock, handling furniture, clearing waste and supporting events. The role is about reliable, capable hands at short notice. Extraman supplies vetted general labourers matched to the task and setting.

Why reliability is the whole point of general labour

General labour fails on no-shows, not skill. A booking of four that turns up as two derails the day. Extraman supplies vetted labourers with an attendance record, and confirms headcount before the shift so the team you booked is the team that arrives.

In-house PAYE keeps every labourer accountable to Extraman. There's no umbrella layer, so pay is clear and the labourer is directly managed by us.

How do you make sure general labourers actually turn up?

Extraman supplies from a vetted pool with a tracked attendance record, confirms each labourer against the booking before the shift, and holds local reserve cover. That process means the headcount you booked is the headcount that arrives, so a short team doesn't derail the day's work.

How fast we mobilise general labourers

A local pool keeps us quick. Extraman holds vetted labourers across London, so same-day and next-morning cover is dependable.

Short-notice cover is our normal. Send the headcount, task and start time and we confirm availability the same day for most bookings.

FAQs

How fast can you supply general labourers in London?

Extraman confirms availability the same day for most London bookings. We hold local pools of vetted labourers across the city, so short-notice and next-morning cover is dependable. Give us the headcount, task and start time and we respond immediately with what we can cover.

What kinds of work can your general labourers do?

Extraman supplies general labourers for site assistance, retail stock moves, furniture handling, clearances, waste removal and event support. Tell us the task when you book and we match labourers with relevant experience, whether the job needs careful handling or heavy, physical work at pace.

Can you supply a large team at short notice?

Yes. Extraman supplies single labourers through to full teams across London, and holds reserve cover for short-notice surges. For larger jobs we recommend confirming headcount early so we can commit the numbers. Tell us the team size and duration when you book and we confirm what we can hold.

Are your general labourers vetted and compliant?

Yes. Every Extraman labourer passes a face-to-face right-to-work check and vetting before deployment. We hold the documentation, so your site carries no liability for illegal working. Compliance is completed before the labourer arrives, so the team that turns up is checked and ready to work.
